About the Nux4Life Foundation

The Nux4Life Foundation

The namesake for our organization, Claudio Patiño IV is in honor of a United States Marine Corps Scout Sniper who was killed in action in Afghanistan on June 22, 2010. Corporal Patiño was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor (posthumously), the Purple Heart Medal and also awarded a Navy Achievement Medal with Valor during an earlier combat deployment.

His family, teammates and fellow Scout Snipers have joined forces to ensure that his sacrifice is not forgotten, and have launched this effort in his name.

Behind the Nux4Life Emblem

The Claudio Patiño IV, Nux4Life Foundation Logo has a deep and symbolic meaning. The logo represents the things that made Claudio a hero. The “Nux” represents brass knuckles which Claudio had tattooed on his chest representing his mother’s tough love.

To honor Claudio, his platoon decided to also wear the brass knuckles and share the respect he carried on their own bodies. To honor Claudio’s sacrifice and his sniper platoon’s loyalty, The Claudio Patiño IV, Nux 4 Life Foundation was established June 22, 2010.

Our Mission

Our mission is to give back to those that have lost a loved one or sacrificed their blood, sweat and tears in support of our great nation. We hope to reach out and support those in need of some peace of mind. Our goal is to mend the mind, body, and soul.

Claudio Patiño IV

Claudio Patiño IV was born in Placentia, California and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. In 2006, shortly after graduating from El Dorado High School, he volunteered to be part of the Scout Sniper Platoon and was selected to attend Scout Sniper School. Claudio was a graduate of the 1st Marine Division Scout Sniper School and was forward deployed multiple times in support of Operations Enduring Freedom. He served with the Scout Sniper Platoons of both 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, and 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines. His personal awards include the Bronze Star with Valor Distinguishing Device, Purple Heart Medal, Navy Achievement Medal with Valor Distinguishing Device, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two Stars, Global War On Terror Expeditionary Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, NATO-ISAF Service Medal, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with two stars.

The heroism, courage and leadership displayed by Corporal Claudio Patiño IV reflected great credit upon himself and the United States Marine Corps, and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the U.S. Naval Service. He gallantly gave his life for his country and his friends.

We invite ill, injured and combat wounded Veterans to participate in our recreational therapy trips. These adventures include shooting at ranges, participating in Lucas Oil Off Road events, our out door adventures with our Polaris RZRs.

We work with other like minded nonprofits, businesses and individuals to ensure the Veteran gets the best experience possible.

Getting Involved

Nux4Life is dedicated to supporting the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our nation. Through our programs, we provide assistance, healing experiences, and community support to veterans, Gold Star families, and active-duty service members.

Your contribution can make a real difference. By donating to Nux4Life, you help us honor their sacrifice, fund vital programs, and provide resources for those in need. Every donation, big or small, plays a part in ensuring that no hero is forgotten. Join us in giving back—because their service deserves our support.

Many servicemen and servicewomen who have given their lives defending our freedom leave behind children.

One of our missions is to select and support eligible recipients annually to receive the Claudio Patiño IV NuxIVLife Scholarship to ease the burden left behind by fallen servicemen and servicewoman to higher education.

We are also honored with the opportunity to serve and assist veterans and active duty personnel who are in need of support due to the stress caused by combat deployments. We have partnered with Labs4Liberty, and put our money to work to fund the placement of much needed service dogs, free of charge to Veteran recipients! This is an ongoing partnership that we look forward to placing more labs in the homes of deserving Veterans. in addition, Nux4Life is expanding providing outdoor recreational activities for Veterans and Gold Star Families such as hunting, fishing and competitive shooting, which helps service members and their families cope and heal mentally and physically by reintroducing them to outdoor activities after returning from and/or sustaining injuries in combat.

Would you consider a tax-deductable monetary donation to further our programs? You can also become a sponsor for our Annual Memorial Golf Tournament, which allows us to fund and achieve our mission. We thank you in advance for your support! Your donation or sponsorship is greatly appreciated, and will be used to fund the overall mission of giving back to those who have elected to sacrifice their lives and livelihood to serve and protect us.

Sincerely,

Alex Chinchilla
CEO, Nux4Life
